My son introduced me to this restaurant so I had to give it a try. I would rate Marutama Ramen in my Top 5 ramen in Singapore. We celebrated a colleagues birthday lunch with a table of 10 pax and the reservations was really difficult as the online form did not work and I had to do it by email. Another thing which I did not like was that they did not allow us to bring a birthday cake. However, I had to give this place a 4 stars because the service staff was really amazing! They were very helpful in helping to organize and join the tables for our large group. The manager also recommended the Zenbu Ramen, which most of us ordered and we thought was really good especially with free flow fried garlic as toppings!

Tucked within the modern vibe of this ramen chain, Marutama offers more than just its namesake ramen. Their special set meals deliver excellent value. I tried both the gyoza set and the fried chicken cutlet set. The gyoza was crisp on the outside and juicy inside, nicely paired with rice, miso soup, and cold tofu. The fried chicken cutlet was equally satisfying—crispy, light, and served with grated daikon, shredded cabbage, and a zesty dipping sauce.
Portions are generous and well-balanced. What stood out was the attention to freshness and the no-MSG promise, which made the meal feel clean and comforting. With prices around $14–$16 per set, it’s an affordable, wholesome option for a hearty Japanese lunch or dinner.
Would return for the set meals even more than the ramen.

Easy to find, just outside Tai Seng MRT. Food wise it's good. Gravy is thick and tastes good. I ordered spicy ramen with family meal set with 3 ramen.

Great food as usual from Marutama. Our go to Ramen place in Singapore. The soup can be hotter though. Noodles still as good 👍
It can be hard to get the attention of the staff though as this is a self order and pay place via online.

Despite the poor reviews, we decided to give it a try. Ordered the 1 for 1, the standard is there as compared to their other outlets. Rich chicken broth, the spicy one is really spicy shiok that makes you sweat, so beware if you cannot take spicy. The noodles are just right, love the lava egg!
The grilled char siew is so tender and fragrant. We received our ramen in less than 5 mins, super fast service and their staffs are all very friendly too.
Will definitely be back for more of it!

Didn’t understand how the eatery got its rating of 3.4. Perhaps the reviewers were too critical. Everything taste good, not too salty, especially the soup broth is light and flavourful. The volcano ramen with its mix of kimchi, pickled vegetables, shredded meat and topped with a onsen egg gives a delightful taste of mixed flavour. The noodles at the bottom is cooked perfectly. As for the Ala carte char siew, it was well grilled and not too oily. Staffs too are friendly and offers ice or warm water even though we didn’t order any drinks. That’s good service in my opinion.

Ordered the (Spicy)Kakuni Ramen, doesn't look spicy but you can feel the kick just from the first spoon.
The broth is the bomb, full thick creamy chicken flavor revitalise my taste buds just from the first spoon, the spring onion and seaweed gives the addiontal tinge of umami so that my mouth will never be bored.
Springy noodles that feels so good to just slurp up. Spices from braised pork seeps in complimenting the broth.
Lastly, trying to pick the char siu, I can see it's so soft that it's ready to break apart, almost melting in my mouth, the sweetness of char siu marination leaves me wanting for more.

Ramen at only 50% off!! Good deal la. But need to show them the flyers.
We had their 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗮𝗺𝗮 𝗥𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗕𝗼𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗘𝗴𝗴 - Came with 1 Char Siu, Seaweed & Onions. Their broth is made from chicken, I had mine spicy and can really feel the kick of it. A decent bowl of ramen I would say but for me personally, I prefer it to be thicker and more flavorful.
Also had their 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗼 𝗥𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻 - Realise that this is the dry version and if you really love meat wah this bowl filled with Braised meat 😅 I prefer the soup one more.
Some sides of 𝗬𝗮𝗸𝗶 𝗚𝘆𝗼𝘇𝗮 and 𝗗𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗽𝘂𝘀 to go along with our meal.

Had a nice lunch with their ramen with egg. Price was affordable as there is a 50% off ramen when you show staff the voucher.
The voucher looks to be handed out physically.
Chicken soup based is nice and love the fried garlic pieces as toppings as well :)
