Job Description

Primary Responsibility

Accountable for the end-to-end business performance of Nikon’s imaging camera business, encompassing consumer and professional mirrorless and DSLR camera and for providing strategic leadership of Nikon Group governance and regional management functions. This role drives sales, marketing, and customer support strategies across the Asia region (including the Middle East, Africa, and Oceania), oversees compliance and risk management and leads diverse regional teams to ensure sustainable growth and governance excellence.

Sales Management:

  • Full P&L ownership for Imaging sector across the region, set revenue,margin and market-share targets, lead and manage sales within group companies, oversee sales operations, and ensure alignment with corporate strategies
  • Monitor profitability by company and product, analyze market situations, forecast sales plans, and develop strategies to boost sales
  • Implement Nikon Japan HQ directions, strategy and policies into the region; translate HQ strategic frameworks (product roadmaps, portfolio segmentation, pricing strategies, new product launches) into actionable, measurable regional plans with clear milestones for each country’s implementation and localization
  • Act as the primary liaison with Nikon Japan HQ’s Board of Directors and shareholders, prepare reports, present regional performance and strategy, product launches report, and market exits/entries, challenges and improvement plan

Marketing and Customer Support:

  • Develop regional marketing and customer support strategy and ensure successful implementation to enhance customer creation and satisfaction, focusing on increased sales and profits
  • Lead Implementation of Regional CRM system establishment and champion the data analysis for marketing strategy development across Asia Region.
  • Oversee service, repair and warranty strategy including but not limited to regional camera and spare-parts inventory, turnaround-time SLAs, calibration and firmware update programs to protect brand reputation and maximize lifetime customer value

Budget Planning and Management:

  • Plan and manage the overall sales and budget for the region’s imaging business, working closely with Japan HQ to ensure alignment with corporate directions
  • Develop business plans and scenario models (best/base/worst/BCP), responsible for annual and rolling forecasts, enforce forecast-accuracy targets and corrective actions
  • Business Growth: Cultivate existing business and develop new opportunities in the region, focusing on countries such as Taiwan, Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, and other Oceania countries
  • Crisis Management: Manage product quality and supply crises, working closely with Japan HQ to identify and implement solutions
  • Efficiency and Control: Establish efficient structures for budget planning, sales control, and supply chain management
  • Relationship Building: Maintain high-level relationships and communication with HQ in Japan and heads of Asia regional offices
  • Organizational Development: Develop human resources, create an environment for sustainable growth, and promote corporate governance and compliance in line with NC direction

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent
  • Minimum 15 years' senior management experience in regional sales, business planning, marketing and customer support within the imaging camera industry across Asia, including the Middle East, Africa and Oceania.
  • Demonstrated track record of successful regional transformations that deliver measurable commercial outcomes in imaging camera industry
  • Proven leadership and strategic planning skills with strong business acumen and analytical skills
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • In-depth knowledge of imaging cameras, accessories, software, etc.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation and stakeholder management skills are needed to communicate with Japan HQ’s Board of Directors and shareholders
  • Proficiency in relevant technologies and tools (e.g.: CRM system, data analysis tools)
  • Proven track record of successfully translating strategic directives, policies and framework from Japan HQ into actionable regional business plans, including experience in change management organizational redesign and cross-border alignment
  • Regional experience and ability to lead cross-cultural teams effectively
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned region
