Planning & QMS Supervisor

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, development, implementation of Quality Management System (QMS) for Nikon Singapore Healthcare Group, ensuring alignment with ISO principles and Japan HQ standards. Serve as the primary liaison with Japan HQ, Nikon Singapore, regional subsidiaries to ensure smooth and timely implementation.
• Interpret framework, policies, guidelines, and directives from Japan HQ, translating them into practical, actionable plans for regional subsidiaries.
• Review existing business processes, identify gaps, and collaborate with internal departments and regional subsidiaries to define, document, and standardize operating procedures, process maps, work instructions, and related QMS documents.
• Drive the rollout, harmonization, and continuous improvement of QMS initiatives across Asia region, promoting regional standardization and alignment with Japan HQ requirements.
• Coordinate cross-department and cross-regional efforts to enhance process efficiency, quality compliance, and operational effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of Healthcare Group policies, procedures, and records, ensuring compliance through regular audits, assessments, and corrective/preventive actions.
• Facilitate effective communication between internal departments, regional offices, and Japan HQ to ensure consistent understanding and implementation of QMS requirements.
• Support internal and external audit readiness by ensuring proper documentation, evidence collection, and adherence to established procedures.
• Provide training and guidance to employees and distributors on QMS concepts, documentation standards, SOPs, and process requirements.
• Monitor, track and analyze Healthcare Group’s systems’ performance metrics across the region (including but not limited to Salesforce system). Identify opportunities for improvement, optimization and enhanced customer satisfaction.
• Enhance business efficiency by performing data analysis, supporting process improvements, and utilizing Salesforce and other business tools. Establish, maintain, and continuously improve business databases and reporting mechanism.
• Review and improve procedures for sales forecasting, procurement, and order management in collaboration with Japan HQ, Nikon Singapore and regional subsidiaries, including support for new SOP implementation
• Drive and manage special projects as assigned, working closely with local and regional teams to ensure efficient and timely execution.
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Degree holder in Healthcare Life Sciences or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of experience in QMS and planning experience in healthcare microscopes industry within Asia region.
• Must possess comprehensive knowledge of international Quality Management and Assurance standards, specifically ISO 9001 and 13485, with proven experience in establishing a QMS framework and SOP for international subsidiaries.
• Must possess strong project management background with hands-on experience in development and implementation QMS, supported with IT knowledge, statistical skills and strong understanding of quality methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to implement QMS, systems and business strategies, including translating Japan Headquarters’ directions, strategies, and policies into actionable plans for Asia‑region subsidiaries.
• Excellent communication skill is needed to present and communicate analysis, market findings and proposals to Japan HQ, regional business stakeholders and staff of all levels.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power BI or tools for data analysis and reporting.
• Mature, possess drive, initiative, and good team spirit with intercultural understanding.
