Great Ma La place in Tai Seng. All items, be it meat, sausages, tofu, sea food or vegetables are priced same, about 2.9 per 100g. Indoor seating a available, but kinda tight packed seating. Types of raw materials to pick for your Ma La is good.

We were there on 15 Jan for our dinner at 8pm.
The soup is not hot enough and some of the food a little hard.
But the staff attending to customer, gets 5 big stars. She is alert, friendly and customer focus.
She is very good.

Been to this outlet a few times! Service is great and easy to order. Personal preference is the mala soup over the mala dry, and tip is that they charge according to weight of ingredients you pick (includes the moisture soaked up by the ingredients🌚 hope you get what i mean) …

Pick and choose, pay by weight. I enjoyed the meal but was miffed that the soup that i selected under the non-spicy section was still spicy.
Would be great if they provide pricing guidelines for first timers not familiar with how much things would cost. E.g. show a typical selection and associated weight/price estimation.
I picked a giant bowl and it was an herculean effort for my to finish it while holding back my perspiration from the spicy soup.
Would still go again.

No frills ordering, you pick your own food and bring it to the weighing machine to start ordering and pay, after paying you will need to bring it to the kitchen for the staff to cook. There’s condiments and also Kimchi that you can take. The minimum serving is actually quite big and the taste are pretty good. Soft drinks does not come with ice cubes or cups.

Visited on a Sunday evening, no crowd.
Order by picking as much as you want, then weigh and pay at self checkout counter.
Chose medium spicy and it turned out alright. Ingredients were fresh and cooked to perfection.

I was very disappointed with my recent order. The sesame sauce was in poor condition – foamy and separated, which made it look and taste spoiled. On top of that, the prawns were not fresh at all – they had a strong unpleasant smell, clearly not suitable for consumption. The tofu puffs also had a sour, spoiled taste, indicating they were no longer fresh. This is unacceptable, especially when it comes to food safety. I hope the restaurant takes better care with ingredient quality in the future.

Gong Yuan Ma La Tang is a nice place for anyone who enjoys Ma La.
It has self service counter which is easy to use. Upon making the order, do remember to notify and give it to the kitchen staff.
You can choose the level of spiciness according to how you want it. The ingredients are fresh and portions are generous. It's good for sharing too.
Their dumplings are value for money with very good texture and taste. The vinegar and sauces go very well with the dumpling.
The physical space is comfortable. It's convenient and located outside Tai Seng Mrt.

Ordered a takeaway order, got home and saw that they didn’t give me the fried items. I contacted them on instagram and email, no reply from them whatsoever

The service was ok and food was nice. I order the dry Mala but personally I feel the sauce was abit too thick. They have many outlet in Singapore, if you have craving for Mala, can give it a try. The soup base maybe better.
