Popular vegetarian restaurant offering affordable local and Asian meat-free dishes including signature Laksa and Yong Tau Foo, serving health-conscious diners daily.
Veggie House Vegetarian at 18 Tai Seng stands as a beacon for plant-based dining in Singapore's bustling Paya Lebar district, offering an extensive menu of vegetarian interpretations of beloved local and Asian dishes. Located at #01-K2 and operating daily from 10 AM to 8:30 PM, this outlet has become a go-to destination for vegetarians, vegans, and health-conscious diners seeking flavorful meat-free alternatives. The restaurant's strategic position within the well-connected 18 Tai Seng complex makes it easily accessible to office workers, shoppers, and dedicated vegetarian food enthusiasts from across Singapore who appreciate quality plant-based cuisine.
The menu at Veggie House showcases remarkable creativity in transforming traditional dishes into vegetarian masterpieces, with signature offerings including their popular Yong Tau Foo and aromatic Laksa that rivals any conventional version. Priced at around $5.90 for signature dishes, the restaurant maintains affordability while delivering above-average taste that has earned positive reviews from regular patrons. The extensive menu features vegetarian renditions of local favorites such as chicken chop, nasi briyani, mala fish (using flavored beancurd with seaweed), mushroom balls, and even vegetarian fried anchovies. Their Thai-inspired selection includes Tom Yum Bee Hoon and Thai Sweet and Sour "Chicken," while comfort foods like Mapo Tofu, curry with French loaf, and various noodle dishes ensure something for every palate and craving.
Veggie House's presence at 18 Tai Seng represents more than just another dining option; it's part of Singapore's growing movement toward sustainable and compassionate eating. The restaurant caters to diverse dietary requirements, making it a valuable resource for Buddhist practitioners, health-conscious individuals, and those exploring plant-based diets for environmental reasons. Their ability to recreate familiar flavors without meat demonstrates the evolution of vegetarian cuisine from simple vegetables to sophisticated culinary experiences. As Singapore's population becomes increasingly health-aware and environmentally conscious, Veggie House continues to play a vital role in making vegetarian food accessible, affordable, and appealing to mainstream diners, proving that plant-based eating can be both nutritious and deeply satisfying.
I ordered the Yong Tau Fu with Kolo Mee, but it didn’t quite meet expectations. The Yong Tau Fu pieces were quite fragile and fell apart when I took them out of the soup, which made the dish a bit messy. The Kolo Mee was an extra $1.2 add-on, but the overall combo didn’t wow me in flavor or texture.
Additionally, the order took longer than expected to arrive, and the soup base was quite plain—lacking the depth of flavor I usually enjoy in Yong Tau Fu.

Place was hot without much aircon, food was terrible. Was there for the YTF but the mee was too soggy, chicken KFC wasn’t the same as the picture, turns out to be some cheapskate chicken mock meat which taste bad. Ordered curry with french loaf too and was disappointed that the curry was so diluted.

My vegetarian friend brought me here for lunch, and I ordered the chef-recommended Laksa. My friend found the Laksa good, but I am not used to vegetarian food and would prefer the regular Laksa. To be fair to the restaurant, this rating is based on my vegetarian friend’s review.

Delicious vegetarian noodle and rice dishes at reasonable prices.
Mee hoon kueh was delicious and filling. It included vegetarian fish which was flavoured beancurd with seaweed, mushroom balls, vegetarian fried anchovies, egg, mani chye and mee hoon.
Mala xiang guo was also delicious. You can choose mild, medium or extra spicy. It was a pick and mix of various vegetables and vegetarian ingredients by yourself into a big bowl. The cashier would then weigh the bowl of ingredients and charge by weight. Min order is $10 for 300 grams. The cashier informed me of the cost and confirmed if I am ok with the cost before charging. It comes with a selection of rice or various noodles.
It was not crowded on a weekday evening. Seating was comfortable.

One of the two vegetarian spots I patronized when I was working at Taiseng. The location made this place a convenient spot to access being located on top of one of the MRT Exits and that the place was sheltered and air-conditioned.
Not heavily crowded and lightly furnished, the crowd in this eatery’s quite disciplined - there’s no table hogging and diners come and go as soon as they’ve completed their meals. I always leave the place feeling full, satisfied and relaxed.
Brought my pals over for a due dinner session and they were decidedly delighted that the atmosphere here was great. Staff was friendly, place airy and casual. These were some of the many compliments they gave to the area.
Left a 4/5 stars for the food as while the food was decent, I was on a strict diet that excluded mushrooms and beans and I found little choices here. Nevertheless, I like the place for their minimal use of deep fried mock-meat items in substitute for real meal items in a lot of vegetarian establishments.

Walked pass this restaurant many times. It is actually located on the center of the ground floor just beside huggs.
It is definitely a cosy area to have a meal. Seldom come across vegetarian selling mapo bean curbs, thus ordered. The mapo doufu with noodles is OK, but the vegetables and the Thai Sweet and Sour Chicken taste better. The serving is really good, you will be full when you finish the drink. It will be good if set meals come with some soup.
The varieties are plentiful, the price is consider ok for the location. Will visit again.

The overall is ok if you wanna have a vegetarian meal that fix your hunger.
Yong Tau Foo was very normal to my taste bud. The soup and sauce can be better.
The service staffs were excellent but the mall air con is really 不给力 😂

I recently dined at the Veggie House Vegetarian @ 18 Tai Seng and tried their Laksa and dry noodles. The Laksa was simply delightful – rich, flavorful, and packed with the right amount of spices. It had a perfect balance of coconut creaminess and a hint of heat. The noodles were cooked to perfection, and the overall experience was quite satisfying. Must try!

I recently discovered Veggie House at 18 Tai Seng, and I'm so glad I did! The Yong Tau Fu I ordered was absolutely delicious and packed with flavor. The portion was generous, and the price of $8.50 was incredibly reasonable.
What truly made my experience stand out was the exceptional service. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made me feel right at home. Their warm smiles and welcoming demeanor added to the cozy atmosphere.
My only minor complaint was that the place was a bit warm, but that's a small price to pay for such an excellent dining experience.
Overall, I highly recommend Veggie House to anyone looking for a tasty and satisfying vegetarian meal. I can't wait to go back and try more of their dishes

Good ambience and not too crowded. Located on the ground floor of an office building with other eateries outlet. Quite easily seen after the entrance. Restaurant is quite tidy and clean. Very friendly staff that explains clearly if you need more clarifications. Food wise tasted alright, staff can adjust less salty if requested. Overall the experience is welcoming and comfortable.

The Ba ku teh is not bad, the Mushroom udon is OK (but it's hard to beat the one at Fortune Center). Affordable pricing and quick to serve for hungry people like me. Lots of noodle dishes and some rice ones to choose from.

First visit long time ago, tried their Veitnamese Spring Rolls, not bad very refreshing. Recently got my second visit, the Mapo Tofu Ramen was amazing! Personally don’t eat like very spicy, yet still a bit spicy food. Haha like the medium kind of spicy level, this is just nice! And the portion is filling! And the aunty there very kind, I told her my first try not sure if the spicy level is ok for me, she gave me free soup to make it less spicy. Definitely will come back and try more of their food.

Decent vegetarian food; my non-veg father is fond of the laksa, nasi biryani, and mee pok! Staff is clear about vegan options, though it would be good if the menu can be labelled. They use vegan noodles (LG brand) and vegan mayonnaise.
Contains milk: Laksa, Lion Head Milky Pickled Mee Suah Soup
Contains egg in monkeyhead mushrooms: Nasi Biryani, Sweet & Sour Monkeyhead Mushroom Set, Men San Gu Monkeyhead Mushroom Set, Lion Head Milky Pickled Mee Suah Soup

Veggie House serves one-dish meals at super affordable prices. We had the mee tai Mak and mee pok dry - they were tasty and the portions were very generous. They also allow customers to order extra ingredients from their Yong tau foo options. Friendly staff and good ambience.
