Service Engineer

The Service Engineer performs troubleshooting and repairing of electronic equipment to meet delivery the schedules and performance standards.  Supports daily work and new assignments from service operations team.

Responsibilities:

• Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout, and trouble-shooting functions.

• Performs trouble shootings, mechanical repair and assembly operations on RMA units.

• Fully testing units after repair to determine that it meets AE specifications.

• Determines and implements any additional non-break services that may be required during the repair process.

• Accurately and completely documents repair activities and test results.

• Participates in creation of repair quotes.

• Provides failure analysis data to the Quality department.

• Perform Calibration and preventive maintenance of test fixtures and test stations on the repair lines

• Perform corrective maintenance of all test fixtures and test stations.

• Performs the setup, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.

• Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where the ability to recognize nonconformities is required.

• Supports the ISO practices, procedures and all safety requirements
  

Skillsets & Experience:

• Bachelor or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or relevant disciplines.

• Works in a service center or manufacturing environment which may be noisy and fast-paced. 

• Able to adapt to repetitive tasks and include the use of electronic assembly equipment. 

• May have overtime (OT) in view of increased RMA activities.

• Must have strong electro-mechanical problem-solving attributes

• Able to operate a variety of electrical test instrumentation, soldering skills required

• Proven ability and experience maintaining flexibility and being able to adapt in a team environment

• Knowledge and understanding of ESD practices

• Light travel may be required from time to time, domestic or international, to assist in training or with customer issues.
