Red House at 18 Tai Seng brings over a decade of culinary heritage to this modern mixed-use development, having relocated from their previous home at May Hua Foodcourt in Golden Shoe Car Park where they built a loyal following for more than 10 years. Strategically positioned at #B1-10 right beside the escalator where no one can miss them, this humble stall continues their tradition of serving comforting, affordable breakfast and lunch options to the working community. Their commitment to quality and consistency has successfully transitioned with them to their new location, where they now serve the thousands of office workers and visitors who pass through 18 Tai Seng daily.
Red House specializes in economic fried bee hoon and nasi lemak, two quintessential Singaporean breakfast staples that have sustained generations of workers through their mornings. Their fried bee hoon and mee are particularly praised for being fragrantly wok-fried while maintaining a perfect balance - flavorful yet not overly oily, a difficult feat that many stalls struggle to achieve. The freshly deep-fried hash browns deliver ultimate crispiness with each bite, while their fish fillets are fried to golden perfection. What truly sets them apart is their house-made chilli, which regular customers swear complements everything on the menu perfectly, adding that extra dimension of flavor that transforms a simple meal into a satisfying experience.
In an era where traditional economic bee hoon stalls are becoming increasingly rare, Red House stands as a testament to the enduring appeal of honest, well-prepared hawker food. Their ability to maintain consistent quality while keeping prices affordable has earned them a devoted following that includes both long-time customers from their Golden Shoe days and new fans from the Tai Seng area. The stall's prominent location ensures a steady stream of customers throughout the morning rush and lunch hours, with many noting that finding such authentic, delicious economic fried bee hoon for breakfast is becoming increasingly difficult in modern Singapore. Red House's presence at 18 Tai Seng helps preserve an important piece of Singapore's hawker heritage while serving the practical needs of today's busy professionals.
Quick and fuss free to get a quick meal. Ordered fried mee siam and nasi lemak. The add on dishes were very average, most people can cook that. Nasi lemak wise, rice can be more fragrant. Chili was on sweet side but pretty good. Seats were very limited so this place was probably for take away orders.

Quick place to go for breakfast, as they have economic beehoon or noodles, with options of items like luncheon meat, vegetables and ngoh hiang. They also have different nasi lemak sets. There are some tables and seats at the side, and you can get your tea or coffee from Fun Toast across, even though they offer coffee too.

I always order the same and never exceed $5++ per box. But this time is $5.3 . When I clarified with the Aunty, Aunty said the other staffs have been calculating wrongly for me. Not sure whether it is a cheating, but it can see that they do not have a SOP on this. After many years of visiting , I regret to say that I will not visit this stall and recommends to others again

One of the auntie repeat whatever I order in a sarcastic manner. Rude and unfriendly place

The other staff are ok. But the aunty who likes to wear red or pink bandana is very rude. She is so mean and hard to change order even you changed right away. She humiliated me in front of everybody. I stopped buying there because of her. I noticed her colleagues are nicer and laughing at her when she cannot tahan while humiliating me. I think she's really has bad attitude towards customers.

Eat here at Red house Taiseng today for lunch. Ordered bee hoon and curry veg, when i was finishing the food, then realised that there is a strand of short hair in the curry vegetable. Went back to the stall to pass it back to them(forgot to take a photo), they just said thanks for telling them. They can even identify whose hair it was, saying it belongs to the aunty who cut cabbage, name Mei Qin. When I asked for a refund or a replacement with other food, they said they can only replace back the curry vegetable for me. Who would want another serving of curry vegetable when they are in the same pot with hair that was found? And they also mentioned that I am being unreasonable since there was little food left on the plate(only found out when I am already finishing the food).

Had Tom Yum Fried beehoon which was extremely good with their curry. Paid $5.20 for beehoon plus curry veg, toufu and eggs with long bean omelette. Curry was especially good in my opinion with a bit of Assam like sour taste and everything was surprisingly not too oily. Wish portion was a bit bigger though. Served by an auntie and uncle pair and they didn't rush me. Pity too not many seats but it's a great place for a quick meal. Buy, eat and left in 10 or 15 mins.
Photo showed half eaten food as I was hungry and nearly forgot to take.
